This theory transformed how I shop.
Your weekly dose of style inspo: the viral cure for buyers' remorse, a surprising celebrity trend going mainstream, and this classic shade is due for a comeback.
Buy it nice or buy it twice.
Have you ever purchased something cheap on a whim - say, for an event that evening, or a piece that was drastically marked down online - only to regret it later?
This week I came across a really good mental exercise for avoiding this trap.
The ‘buy it nice or buy it twice’ theory is about recognising that poor quality items tend to eventually need replacing… and may end up costing you more in the long-run.
I learnt this the hard way recently.
On Nothing To Wear this week: Gen-Z don’t do wallets.
We know you love hearing our social media whiz Liv James on the pod, so she’s back with Leigh Campbell for part two of their chat about the fashion clash between Gen-Z and millennials.
This time, the pair bond over statement pieces and this season’s covetable suede jackets - proving there’s definitely common ground to be found.
Listen below, then check out their boujie and budget recommendations.

Quick one, when did everybody stop wearing pants?
We did not have 'undies' on our fashion bingo card for 2025. But the signs were there.
Way back in May 2022, Julia Fox wore a matching bra and briefs to the grocery store in LA.
It was pretty typical of Fox, who has made a name for herself with unconventional outfits that toe the line of good taste. Wearing underwear as outerwear just felt like part of her schtick.
But oh, were we wrong…
Trending… in the navy.

It’s not that navy ever went away - it’s always had that classic thing going on - but the shade is having a resurgence for winter, popping up on tailored pieces and sporty separates. It plays nicely with denim, pops against grey and won’t get old like other trendy tones.
